Winter Wishes

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas in Arizona visiting my family. Here is a picture of my family: mom, brother, me, and dad.

My mom has had this big basket for a few years now, I have always wanted this basket and I finally convinced her to give it to me. I knew my cats would love this basket, here is a picture of Gretchen and Sophia.

Here is the card we made at Claudia's two Fridays ago, I did not get a chance to post it before we went out of town. I really like this card and wanted to share it!

Best wishes for a wonderful New Year!

Wreathabella and Snowman Card

I made this Wreathabella card last weekend, I love magenta and lime green together. The holly background stamp and season's greeting stamp came from the stamp set I won from I {Heart} Papers.
I made this snowman card last night at my friend Claudia's house using TAC products. I have since added a brad at the top of the tag and glitter glue to the snowflakes.

Cards Made with I {Heart} Papers Blog Candy

A couple of weeks ago I won blog candy from Sarah and I {Heart} Papers. I am very glad I won this set, after stamping with it, it has become one of my favorites!

I love how these cards turned out. I like to make a variety of holiday cards, using traditional and non traditional colors.

The santa, snowman, penguin, and snowflake background are all part of the set I won.

Another Bella Card

I made this Bella card using a large tag that I folded in half. I traced around the front of the card on patterned paper, cut it out and glued it on. On the top and bottom corners I stamped green swirls. This will probably be my last Bella card for awhile, I finally got my fix. Time to move onto Christmas stamps. I don't have any Bella Christmas stamps yet, I do have a few images that my mom stamped and gave me, so I might make a few of those.

Happy Harvest

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I just love fall stamps, especially trees. I made this card with Pink Cat Studio's Limitless Limbs. I am really glad I purchased this set, it is very versatile and fun to create with.

Bella Cards

My Bella collection keeps growing, they are super cute! I am really happy with how these cards turned out (I have made quite a few). I was looking for an idea to make Bella cards with some images that my mom gave me. I was searching through cards that I have received in the past, and really liked this idea. Friendship Bella- the green background does not open, the pink and green patterned paper flips up and thinking of you is stamped on the inside. Celebrate Bella- the purple background does not open, the pink paper flips up and happy birthday is stamped on the inside.

Here are the last two cards that we made at Claudia's house, both using TAC products. I absolutely love the reindeer card, the colors are beautiful and I love the retro feel of the Imagine card.

Mesa, AZ & St. George, UT

I have had two awesome weekends in a row! Last Saturday 6 of us from stamp club went on a day trip to Mesa for a rubber stamp convention. While in Mesa I got to see my Momma and some of my AZ stamping friends, it was a great trip. Plus, I bought a lot of new stamps! My favorite booth this year was I Love Rubber Stamps- they had a lot of images I liked that I did not already have. The six of us had so much fun going to Mesa that we decided to go to the St. George scrapbooking convention yesterday. We are all so glad that we went, the vendors had great deals on paper and other supplies. Above are the Make & Takes from the St. George show. The card on the bottom left is from the CTMH booth and the three small tags are from the Robert's Crafts booth.

Have a Fairy Good Day & Fantastical Fun!

I love these Fairy images, they were given to me by my friend Jen. At the moment I am ADDICTED to swirl stamps! I have been putting them on everything! I have a few sets of swirl stamps and I am trying to resist the urge to buy more! I put glitter glue on their wings and on the star wand.

Here is the card we made at Claudia's last night using TAC products. TAC has some of the best papers I have seen in a long time. I have the horse stamp set that we used, it is a great set. Thanks for the great project Claudia! We MISSED you Jen!

Six of us from the Las Vegas Stamp Club are taking a day trip to Mesa a week from today to attend the Rubber Stamp Events convention! I am so excited!!! My mom will be going to the convention and I know that I will run into some of my stamping friends from the Huachuca Mountain Stamp Club! Did I mention that I was REALLY excited??? We are going to have a BLAST!!!

2009 Calendar- December

Here is the December calendar page I created for a calendar page swap with some friends in Arizona. I just love the hedgehogs from Stampin' Up. When I first started stamping I just had to have them, that was about 5 years ago and I am just using them for the first time, ha ha.

Happy Birthday Butterfly Card

This is the card that we made Friday night at Claudia's house. The stamps and paper are both from The Angel Company (TAC). On the butterfly we used Stickles, I added the brown swirls once I got home for a finishing touch. I absolutely love this card, it is nice and simple. Thanks for the great project Claudia!

2009 Calendar- January

Last year our LV Stamp Club put together a calendar decorated with stamped images and it turned out really cute. My mom and I have decided to do a calendar project with some of our stamping friends in AZ. There are 6 of us participating, so we will each complete 2 months. My months are January and December. This is what I came up with for my January pages. I LOVE Stamping Bella and just had to use these two for my January "Happy New Year" page.

Paisley Cat

Every Friday night a few of us get together at our friend Claudia's house. This is an open stamping time where we all bring a project to work on and chit chat. My friend Jen gave me a few of these paisley cat images. While my mom was visiting we bought some paisley paper. This is what I came up with and worked on while I was at Claudia's Friday night. I am really happy with how they turned out.

Monthly Stamp Club

Last night it was my turn to host the monthly stamp club that I belong to. We have twelve members and we each host club once a year. I am glad October was my month this year because I LOVE Halloween. Each month we exchange cards and the host provides snacks and a project. These are the cards that I used for the projects. The Halloween card I created with my friend Amy last year when we tried to start a student card making club at the middle school we taught at. The club did not have enough students sign up, but Amy and I made a few really cute cards. The purse card is a technique that I have seen on a few blogs, I LOVE purses, so I just knew that this would be a fun card to make. I really enjoyed hosting club, hopefully I am lucky enough to get October again next year!

Tiger Face

This card was super easy. I used the Tiger Face from The Angel Company (TAC), and a background stamp (not sure what company it is). I used the background stamp on the tiger's face and on the blue card stock. I added some brown earthy toned fiber for an added touch.

Shoe Box Party and Stamp Convention

Friday night was the shoe box party that a bunch of us always get together for the weekend of the convention. We each made a card and put together 10 kits for other people to make our card. It is really fun and each time I go home with 10 new ideas from the cards I have made. My mom and two of my friends, Amy and Kristine, attended the shoe box party with me. On Saturday my mom and I went to the stamp convention, we enjoyed shopping and doing the make and takes. These pictures are two make and takes that I did at the convention. I made the Hot Air Balloon card at B & J's Art Stamps and the Witch Tag card at Pugnacious Stamps & Designs.

Happy Saturday!

As I am sure you can tell, I am a cat person. I have quite a few friends that like dogs. I have MANY cats stamps and a few dog stamps. I made a couple of cards for my friends who like dogs and this is what I came up with! I thought that the embossed dots would go great with this dog who has a spot around his eye.

I am really happy with how this best wishes card turned out. I have a lot of ribbon and I am trying to incorporate ribbons and fibers when I can.
