Riverside Stamp Convention

Five of us from Vegas went to California for a stamp convention in Riverside, we arrived home around 10pm last night. It was a quick and easy trip and we had a lot of fun. We stayed with our friend Ching who lives in San Bernardino, she and her husband Ron took very good care of us during our stay. Unfortunately, our friend Claudia was unable to go with us, her husband Bob has been in the hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery! I wanted to share with you a stamp set that I bought from Prickley Pear. I loved the owls in this set and I thought the birds were nice too.

Have a Purrfect Day!

Well, it seems like it has been forever since I have posted. We have had a lot going on the last two weeks. Paul's mom was in town visiting for a week from Minnesota. We did the tourist thing and went down to the strip a couple of times and went out to Red Rock.

A couple of us from work put together a card exchange club, we had our first get together this month. Out of the 12 members, 8 of us work for the school district. I think this group will have a lot of fun together!

The butterfly card above is the card we made at Claudia's last night using TAC products, I love the purple and gold combination. I am really looking forward to this next weekend, a few of us from Vegas are going to Riverside, CA for a paper crafts convention. We are staying the night with a friend who lives in San Bernardino. I am looking forward to all of the shopping and girl time, it is going to be so much fun!!!

Happy New Year 2009!

2009 is officially here! I kept with my typical New Year's Eve tradition of falling asleep around 10pm. Next year I think I will have a party, so that way I have to stay awake! Yesterday I decided to straighten my stamp room, it was not that messy but I did need to reorganize. Once I was done, I made these cards. I love Fluffles. I rarely use markers on my cards, I usually use colored pencils, I think I will use markers more often now. The second card I made using a stamp that one of my stamping friends in Arizona gave me for Christmas, I love this stamp!

Winter Wishes

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas in Arizona visiting my family. Here is a picture of my family: mom, brother, me, and dad.

My mom has had this big basket for a few years now, I have always wanted this basket and I finally convinced her to give it to me. I knew my cats would love this basket, here is a picture of Gretchen and Sophia.

Here is the card we made at Claudia's two Fridays ago, I did not get a chance to post it before we went out of town. I really like this card and wanted to share it!

Best wishes for a wonderful New Year!

Yesterday the Las Vegas valley received between 4-6 inches of snow! Today we had a snow day! It was a nice and relaxing student free day. This is a picture of the front of our house last night.
Here is a picture of our backyard last night.

Changing Seasons- November Calendar Page

During our December stamp club meeting we had a drawing to see what month everyone would host and create a calendar page for 2009. I ended up with November. For my November calendar page I used Pink Cat Studio's Limitless Limbs, this set is very fun to create with. For my birthday my mom bought me 3 Pink Cat sets that I have been wanting, I have already trimmed them and they are ready for use. My new sets are QT Hooty Owl, Christmas Kitty, and Crafty Kitty.

Wreathabella and Snowman Card

I made this Wreathabella card last weekend, I love magenta and lime green together. The holly background stamp and season's greeting stamp came from the stamp set I won from I {Heart} Papers.
I made this snowman card last night at my friend Claudia's house using TAC products. I have since added a brad at the top of the tag and glitter glue to the snowflakes.
